‘Mastering the Virgin’ James’ Point of View

‘Mastering the Virgin’ – Future Instalments

Here’s a question for those of you who are following ‘Mastering the Virgin’:

Doubtless, you know that in its original form, ‘Buying the Virgin’, the story was written entirely from the point of view (POV) of Charlotte. This ran right through from the first instalment, ‘The Virgin – Auctioned’ to the end of ‘The Virgin’s Summer’.

Once I started on ‘The Virgin and the Masters’, the story was complicated enough that it needed I felt, more than one POV and so I brought in the POVs of Michael and Beth as well. I deliberately avoided using James’ POV as I intended to keep him ‘a dark horse’.

Now I first considered writing the tale of what was to become ‘Mastering the Virgin’ because I was approached by a couple of readers saying that they would like to read the alternative POVs for the early parts of the story too. So, I put out a poll asking what readers in general thought of the idea.

It became quickly clear from both that poll and the feedback I have received since on ‘Mastering the Virgin’, that there is an appetite out there for both Michael’s and James’ inner thoughts.

Now here is my conundrum:

I am currently working on ‘Confidants’ (Mastering the Virgin’ Part 11), which equates to ‘The Virgin’s Summer’ Part Three. TVS Part Four comes next.

After that, the story moves on to the events told in ‘The Virgin and the Masters’.

However, Michael’s POV has already largely been covered in there. And I don’t want to repeat myself unnecessarily or to write something which simply seems to be ‘cashing in’ on an already successful story.

In short, were I to continue writing ‘Mastering the Virgin’, from that point it would be largely or ONLY from James’ POV. I know there are some of you out there ‘in love’ with James, but do you love him enough (lol!) to want to read the later parts of the story as told just by him?

The Question

Do you want me to write the next part of the story i.e. the events covered by ‘Mastering the Virgin’ in this form? Told mainly or only by James? Or would you prefer that I move on to write The Virgin’s Search’?
